Yeeeeah I like writing so I'll put up "songs" here.

I'm On One (Cover) - Drake, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne

LA radio stations like playing songs to death and since I'm always stuck in traffic, I get to hear the same song 5-8 times in an hour. Anyway, this one grew on me and it would always get stuck in my head after hearing it. Pretty explicit but I cleaned it up a tiny bit since I'm such an angel.

Rocketeer (Cover) - Far East Movement

I've never been the biggest fan of FM, but they totally got it down with me for this song. I used to search the radio stations for this song and would get so excited to hear it. However, I was disappointed by the lyrics so I wrote my own. The sound quality is pretty whack because I was being quiet while recording (roommates are home) and I made the volume of it too loud. BUT oh well.

Airplanes (Cover) - B.o.B.

My friend Justin Yieber once suggested we do a cover of this song (months and months ago), and we even attempted to record that night, but I had been playing beer pong so I wasn't in very good control of my flow haha. Anyway, I've urged and poked and pestered him about getting a cover going, but it hasn't worked out in so long so I just covered it myself! He's a much better singer than I so I wish it could have worked out...

No Lie (feat. Recon & Justin Yieber)

My buddies recorded their parts several months ago (during summer), and I assured them I would get to my part right away. By right away, I meant over 8 monthsÉ Anyway, this was so difficult for me to get started with my writing because I've never written untrue things for my songs. I mean that I haven't written anything that isn't necessarily what I am feeling, so this song is my first step into writing on more generic topics that aren't personally connected to me. Gotta broaden~

Fly (Nicki Minaj + Rihanna Cover)
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
My current musical obsession is Nicki Minaj. I know that my version pretty much only deserves to wipe snot away from nose of the original, but I had a day off from work so this is what I came up with.

Clint Eastwood (Gorillaz Cover)
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
I haven't written anything original in a really long time, but I wanted to get some kind of creative juices going so I decided to do my first cover ever. I started listening to the Gorillaz in junior high, just when I was also starting to listen to hip hop. This song is one of my favorites, and I'm hoping I didn't butcher it too much.

Blind

Beat by Jedi Mind Tricks. This is my second song that touches on the topic of religion, however, my personal views and stances have changed quite a bit since the last one. I'm still young, so maybe my views aren't very concrete right now, but this is how I currently feel. I'm currently in the process of moving out of my apartment, so I recorded this song literally sitting on the ground. First song of summer 2010!!!

Affections
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
Used an Atmosphere (I love Atmosphere, btw) beat for this one. It's a cheesy song that I wrote about my boyfriend. So what, shoot me T_T Anyways, it's kind of a story that leads into how I'm feeling about everything currently. It's always easier for me to tell stories in song than anything else.

Woman
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
Heard this Kero One beat on youtube the other night so I just started jotting down some lines and ended up with this song. I didn't do much editing so it's pretty raw, but I hope you enjoy it! It's one of the first times I really wrote about what I was feeling and abandoned my usual "story" type songs.

In N Out
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
Who doesn't love an In N Out burger? Even the vegetarians go there to get grilled cheese and animal style fries! Anyway, this is just a short verse to talk about In N Out because I was hungry when I wrote it. Omnomz. The goat-like-guy is my cousin, who lives in Mississippi for school. I recorded him last year (he's griping in Korean about how Mississippi doesn't have In N Out), and I finally got around to using the sound clip! Yay.

Inanimate
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
So this song is in the point-of-view of three inanimate objects, a penny, a razor, and a pillow, respectively. They're just household objects that I think we overlook so much of the time. I wrote the funny little song in Spain earlier this summer but haven't had time to record until now. Hope you enjoy it! I know I'm not a singer so don't hate~

Stop, Look, and Listen

Collab project with AK and Jabez (feat. Peter Park). It's been a few months since we recorded this track, but I've been lazy with my website. Not much of a backstory... AK and Jabez were working on their first self-released album and asked me to contribute a verse. After recording we ate chili and cornbread.

Black Dog of Fate
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
This song was for some extra credit for Comp Lit 2DW at UCLA in winter09. So... I pulled an all-nighter to finish a paper for that same class, and right around 8:30AM when I finished the paper, I was debating if I should even attempt to start writing/recording a song that was due at 12noon. I took a quick shower, got to work, and had the song turned in by 11:20AM on campus. YEEEEEAH BOYYY. It's based on a book by Peter Balakian, where he talks about his journey to find his identity as an Armenian-American.

Greatest
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
I wrote this about one of the few men I truly respect and love. When you find someone like that, you better hang on. But I lucked out with this man because I didn't have to find him. He was given to me. I love my dad. Beat by Kanye West.

The Giving Tree
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
One of my favorite books is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. Over the years I've found that there are as many interpretations of the story as people that have read it. I basically wrote this song retelling the story in my own words. Beat by 2 Deep.

Untitled

This song was a big collaboration with a bunch of people involved. There was Ally (from USC) who came up with the whole idea and concept of the message to be conveyed. Hannah (UCLA) sang the perdy perdy hook, that was written by Nathan (UCLA, Seriously). Greg (USC) did the mixing and we recorded in his studio. Dustin (UCI) produced the beat, aaaaand I wrote the lyrics and rapped. COOL. Enjoy. Beat by Dustin Kim.

Yonsei Summer 2008
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
This is just a fun little tune I wrote while in Korea. I was actually going to perform it for the summer commencement program and had to submit the lyrics to the Dean of International College, but for some unnamed reason, I was rejected. Whatevs~ Beat my Motionman.

Stand Beside Me
To download: (Right click > Save Target As)
his song is the true story about an old friend and mentor of mine named Julie. I don't know if I can call myself a Christian right now, but I was raised in a home that way and this song is basically an expression of my struggles with the faith... and yea I went a little crazy with the voice-overs. Beat by Tablo.

007

The first thing I've ever recorded so don't laugh -_- It was a song I wrote for the seniors (specifically at UCLA) that I had met during my freshie year. Beat by Nujabes.
